According to SES of 2002 in Hungary women's wage was approximately 16% lower than men's wage. With this result Hungary was among the countries of small wage differences in the EU, and only Poland and Slovenia with its first place rating had better places. Generally speaking in the new Member States the difference between men's and women's wages is smaller than in the old Member States.
