Pay gaps broken down by number of children analysis

The pay gap, the rate between men's and women's wages is the smallest in case of people without children, in this category men earn more only by 8% than women. In case of people having one child the rate of the pay gap is 14%, while in case of people having two or more children, men earn more than one quarter as much as women do in the same category.
All in all we can notice that the growing number of children increases the income handicap of women. It may be derived from the fact that women with a child, and especially women with more children, can spend less time building their careers, they suspend their employment status for years, they have less time to attend further trainings etc. Anyway, the society has to think of how the burden of bringing up children – mainly carried out by women – could be made easier, because it is unjust that only women should bear the disadvantages deriving from the necessary tasks of social reproduction.
