 All public servants' jobs are grouped in ten payment classes and each payment class is broken down to fourteen payment grades. Until 1 January 2008 the payment could be calculated according to Attachment 1 to the Public Servants Act. Since 1 January 2008 it is not the Attachment of the Act but the State Budget Act that defines the fixed sum of payment which belongs to the first payment grade of each payment class, and it also defines the smallest multipliers which go with the payment grades that are based on the fixed amount of the first payment grade. |  |
